Add a Water Meter

Goal​

Install a new water meter for an existing metered billing point.

Before You Begin​

Ensure:

  • A customer exists
  • A Billing Point has been created
  • The Billing Point is configured as Metered

Steps​

Step 1​

Open Map

Step 2​

Search for the Billing Point.

Step 3​

Open the Billing Point.

Click

Select

Install Meter

Step 4​

Complete the meter information.

Required fields:

  • Meter Number
  • Manufacturer
  • Serial Number
  • Installation Date

Step 5​

Click Save.

The system will:

  • Create the meter
  • Link it to the Billing Point
  • Display it on the map

Expected Behaviour​

✔ Meter appears on the map.

✔ Billing Point status changes to

Meter Installed

✔ Meter can now receive readings.
